The Convenor of the Kingdom Builders Summit 2026, Ellen Abena Addo, has advocated a “mindset shift” among believers, urging them to move beyond spiritual routines confined to church activities to invest, build businesses and inspire financial freedom.
Mrs. Addo acknowledged the tendency to separate faith from daily decision-making in boardrooms and institutions. However, she maintains that the two are inseparable, cautioning against prioritizing career or over spiritual identity. “The world may teach Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, but we are bringing back the Kingdom order. And the order is God first, then the home or family, ministry or career, before societal impact. Don’t miss it. Seek Him first, and all other things will be added. This is the first step towards freedom and balance,” she explained.
The maiden edition of the Kingdom Builders Summit brought together a cross-section of professional women, entrepreneurs, and career starters. The two-day event aimed to equip attendees to become what the organizer described as “holistically capable” leaders in governance, industry, and society by integrating Christian principles and values into every facet of life.
The Capstone Young Financial Literacy Campaigner highlighted the significance of the timing of the event, falling on Ghana’s Independence Day, saying it served as a bridge between the Independence Day and the week of International Women’s Day.

A convergence of purpose
Mrs. Addo emphasised that the timing is a “perfect convergence of purpose, celebration, and divine timing.” The former council member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG), recounted her journey from a stable career and family life to what she described as a deeper spiritual awakening that redefined her purpose. “Salvation is not the end of the journey; it is the beginning of it. Kingdom living is stepping fully inside. We are here because God has called this generation to arise and build, to bring the principles of His Kingdom into the church, the marketplace, home, governance, industry, and society,” she said.
Mrs. Addo underscored the role of women in nation building and the promotion of inclusive development, framing it as a spiritual and societal imperative. “Our mandate is to be carriers of reproduction. We carry the seed that is to crush the head of the serpent. Missing this office may lead to the extinction of a generation. We intentionally blended the older and the younger women for the transfer of wisdom, just as the Bible says,” she stated.
The multiple award-winning events organizer also connected the summit’s vision to current global and local contexts, citing the recent withdrawal of the US from UN programmes, saying this is not a setback, but a call for local agency and divine strategy in managing Ghana’s natural resources. “Ghana is blessed with gold, minerals, and resources. This is a promised land flowing with milk and honey. But we must follow the divine blueprint, not human intelligence. The farmers need your academic prowess. God is calling you to wake up,” she observed.
Call to action
The summit, which featured seasoned women of God and industry professionals, is designed to be an interactive platform for impartation and strategy. Participants were encouraged to embrace the gathering as the start of an active movement. “The revival has come. It is here. The earth is waiting for a manifestation. This revival comes with mantles for building real, lasting legacies. Together we will learn, be equipped, and take our place as leaders who restore hope in institutions and the nation,” Mrs. Addo declared.
