Catholic teachers to hold conference at Bechem
Ejisu (Ash), Oct. 23, GNA – The Association of Catholic Teachers (ACT) in the Kumasi Ecclesiastical Province, is to hold its fourth annual conference on Saturday, October 27 at Bechem in the Brong-Ahafo Region.
About 500 education directors, heads of education institution and teachers would gather to discuss ways of improving quality education delivery.
A press statement signed by the Mr Justice Asmah, the Provincial Deputy Secretary, said the event would also provide the platform to highlight the contribution that teachers and the church could make towards ensuring peaceful polls on December 7.
The theme for the meeting is: “The role of Catholic teachers in the promotion of peace in his/her community: Blessed are the peace makers”.
The Most Reverend Peter K. Atuahene, Catholic Bishop of Goaso, the Most Rev Matthew Gyamfi, Bishop of Sunyani and Episcopal Chairman of Education, Catholic Bishops Conference-Ghana and Nana Fosu Gyeabour Akoto II, Omanhene of Bechem are among those who would be on hand to address the conference.
