Ghanaian duo of Jordan Ayew and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku were on target for Leicester City in their 3-1 home victory over Ipswich Town in the English Championship.
While Issahaku lasted the entire duration of the match, the Black Stars skipper lasted 79 minutes as the Foxes cruised to victory in the week 21 fixture, held at the King Power Stadium on Saturday evening.
Before this match, both players had starred for the Foxes, with Jordan Ayew scoring from the spot while Issahaku delivered an assist in their 2-2 stalemate against Bristol City in mid-week.
The Black Stars pair were pivotal in the highly-competitive clash, registering their names on the scoresheet to propel the side to victory.
Leicester City broke the deadlock in the eight minute mark through Jamaica international, Bobby Reid before Issahaku doubled the lead for the home team as they went to the half time break with the advantage.
However, Ayew found the back of the net seven minutes after recess, cementing the win for the host in the much-anticipated clash. It was his second goal in a row, having netted in their previous game against Bristol City.
In the 71st-minute mark, Jens-Lys Cajuste found the net but it was not enough to salvage Ipswich Town from defeat.
Ayew, 34, has scored four goals and provided an assist in 19 appearances for Leicester City in the Championship this season.
Issahaku, on the side, has contributed nine goals in the Championship for the Foxes, scoring three and providing six assists in 20 Championship games.
