Medeama head coach Ibrahim Tanko has paid tribute to the club’s travelling supporters, describing their backing as a vital source of motivation as his side continue their push at the top of the Ghana Premier League.
Medeama are second in the standings with 30 points from 15 matches and face a demanding away test against Bibiani GoldStars on Wednesday.
Tanko’s comments come after Medeama extended their unbeaten league run to 12 matches with a narrow 1-0 victory away to Heart of Lions, a result achieved in front of a supportive away following.
The coach emphasised the importance of unity between players and fans, particularly during a congested and competitive phase of the season.
“We always do this together. We hope they continue to come and support us, and those watching and praying at home should keep doing so. We will do our part on the pitch,” Tanko said.
The upcoming trip to Dun’s Park is expected to be one of Medeama’s toughest assignments, with Bibiani boasting a flawless home record this campaign.
