German-born Ghanaian winger Christian Conteh has completed a move to Bundesliga side FC Heidenheim, sealing a three-year deal after leaving 2. Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Braunschweig.
The top-flight club confirmed the signing on Monday after the 26-year-old successfully passed his medical checks.
Heidenheim announced the transfer in an official statement, confirming Conteh’s arrival with immediate effect and tying him to the club until June 30, 2029.
The versatile wide attacker brings Bundesliga experience and attacking depth as the club looks to strengthen its options for the second half of the season.
Conteh expressed his excitement about the switch, highlighting both personal and professional motivations behind the move.
“The move to Heidenheim is the next important step in my career. I know the club very well through my brother, of course â being able to play alongside him in the Bundesliga will be something very special,” he said.
Club chief executive Holger Sanwald praised the winger’s profile and impact. “With the signing of Christian Conteh, we've added a player to our squad who can be deployed offensively on both wings as well as in the center,” he noted.
Conteh reunites with his brother Sirlord Conteh at the Voith Arena after scoring five goals and providing three assists in 18 appearances this season.
Eligible to represent Ghana through heritage, he remains a potential option for the Black Stars at international level.
