Asante Kotoko coach Karim Zito says he is targeting winning the Premier League and FA Cup titles in the ongoing 2025/26 football season.
The Porcupine Warriors have been struggling and currently sit 5th on the Premier League log with 35 points after 21 games played, with eight points separating them and league leaders, Medeama SC.
However, Kotoko will face Aduana FC in the FA Cup Round of 16 games this weekend at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Speaking ahead of the game, Zito emphasized his ambition of securing a domestic double this season, aiming to claim both the Ghana Premier League and the FA Cup.
He stressed that Kotoko must approach the game against Aduana with focus and determination, avoiding the errors that cost them in their recent league encounter.
“Definitely, we have to win that game (against Aduana FC). We don’t have any excuse because my main objective is to win the league or the FA Cupâor even the double," the former Black Satellites head coach
"So definitely, I have to work hard because we cannot afford to lose to Aduana,” Zito added.
After the FA Cup game this weekend, Asante Kotoko will face their bitterest rivals, Hearts of Oak, in the Matchday 22 games at the Baba Yara Stadium in the Super Clash.
