Major League Soccer side, San Diego FC, have extended Ghanaian forward Emmanuel 'Ema' Boateng's stay at the club.
The veteran winger signed a deal for the 2026 season with an option through to June 2027.
The former Columbus Crew and LA Galaxy star enters his tenth season in the MLS after playing a significant role in San Diego's inaugural campaign as they reached the final of the Western Conference.
“Ema brings invaluable experience, professionalism, and consistency to our group,” said SDFC Sporting Director Tyler Heaps. “His commitment to the Club, his teammates, and our values is evident every day, and we are happy to continue this journey with him as we build toward the future.”
Boateng made 15 appearances last season for San Diego, scoring a goal in the league.
The experienced forward is expected to play a leading role on and off the pitch in the upcoming season.
The Right to Dream Academy graduate remains the Ghanaian with the most appearances in the MLS, making 231 appearances, scoring 20 goals and delivering 27 assist.
