Italian Serie A outfit Cagliari Calcio are reportedly eyeing a move to sign Ghana midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana.
According to transfer insider Gianluca Di Marzio, the club is ready to make formal contact to initiate the process of securing the services of the hard-working midfielder.
Ibrahim Sulemana, 22, is on the books of Atalanta but currently on loan at fellow Serie A side Bologna.
Despite signing for Bologna in the hopes of playing regularly to continue his development, the youngster has struggled to secure playing time, a situation that is making him unhappy and has led him to consider a move.
At Bologna, the Ghanaian has only made four appearances this season and managed just 112 minutes in the Serie A and Coppa Italia combined.
Amid his desire for regular playing time, his former club, Cagliari, could provide that opportunity.
The club sits 15th in the Serie A standings after Week 21 and believes it is important to reinforce its squad to stand a better chance of escaping relegation at the end of the season.
Checks have revealed that Cagliari plan to open talks with Atalanta later this week in hopes of striking a deal to sign Ibrahim Sulemana before the end of the winter transfer window.
