Scottish Championship side St Johnstone have bolstered their attack with the loan signing of Ghanaian forward Alfredo Agyeman from league rivals Falkirk.
The 25-year-old striker has joined the club until the end of the current season.
Agyeman arrives at McDiarmid Park after a successful two-year spell with Falkirk. He joined The Bairns in the summer of 2023 and made a significant contribution, scoring 14 goals in just over 50 appearances.
He played a key role in their League One campaign and subsequent title-winning season in the Championship, establishing himself as a reliable attacking presence.
Speaking after the move was confirmed, Agyeman expressed his eagerness to get started and outlined his ambitions. "I spoke to the gaffer to get a good understanding of the style of play and the ambition of the club," Agyeman said. "He demands a lot from the players, and I’m determined to give him what he is looking for."
The forward, who has already trained with his new teammates, described the attributes he hopes to bring to the Saints squad.
"I felt that this was a good decision for me. I want to bring a directness. I’m not scared to take people on. I want to come in and help this team to be even better. You always want to show how good you can be."
Acknowledging the competitive nature of the league, Agyeman added, "This league can be crazy at times. You need to always make sure you are ruthless. It is a tough league, but I have quickly seen the determination and ambition that everyone at this club has."
The loan signing represents a new challenge for Agyeman as he looks to make an immediate impact for St Johnstone during a busy second half of the season.
