âItalian-Ghanaian attacker Joshua Tenkorang set the tone and the tempo for Ravenna’s dramatic 2â1 home win over Guidonia Montecelio, ending the hosts’ fourâmatch winless run in Serie C.
In a tight first half, Tenkorang made the breakthrough in the second minute of stoppage time, arriving in the box to finish coolly and send Ravenna into the interval with a deserved lead.
The game exploded in added time at the end of the second half. Guidonia Montecelio thought they had snatched a point in the 90+7th minute when Sannipoli pounced in a goalmouth scramble, finishing after Ravenna goalkeeper Joyce Francesco Anacoura had produced a brave double save.
But the home fans were sent into raptures just four minutes later as Matteo Solini popped up with a lastâgasp winner in the 90+11th minute, restoring Ravenna’s advantage and sealing a dramatic victory at Stadio Bruno Benelli.
The result offers a huge psychological boost for Ravenna after a difficult spell, as they had taken just one point from their previous four league outings.
They will now look to build on this momentum in their next Serie C fixture away to Perugia.
