Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has expressed regret over the departure of Kamaradini Mamudu, acknowledging the impact the Ghana international will have on the club.
Mamudu has completed a move to Sudanese side Al Hilal in the ongoing winter transfer window, signing a long term deal.
“Kamaradini is a really fantastic guy, not only on the pitch and outside the pitch, but he’s also very disciplined," Tanko told the club's media.
"It’s very painful that we are going to miss him, but I think life must go on. He also has to look for somewhere else and to try to continue his career.
“I wish him very well. I hope that he will go there and then, as he did here. Definitely, we are going to miss him, but I think we still have three right backs, and that can also step on his feet," he added.
Mamudu leaves Medeama atop the Ghana Premier League, eight points clear as the club targets a second league title.
He joins Al Hilal, who currently lead the Rwandan Premier League while the Sudanese competition is disrupted by the ongoing conflict.
