Ghanaian midfielder Mawuli Mensah has joined Spanish Segunda Division outfit Real Zaragoza in the winter transfer window.
The 22-year-old signed a deal to join Real Zaragoza from Real Betis till the end of the season, with the former having the option of extending the deal to 2028.
"Agreement with him Real Betis for the transfer of the midfielder for the remainder of the season, with an option to extend until 2028. Welcome to Zaragoza, Mawuli!" wrote the club announcing the player's arrival.
Mensah moved to Spain in the 2021/22 season from Accra Shooting Stars to join Antequerra, and after a season earned a deal to join Real Betis.
During his time at Bestis, he featured predominantly for their reserve side, where he made 65 appearances, scoring nine goals and delivering an assist.
The versatile midfielder will join his new teammates on Tuesday to begin preparations ahead of their game against Eibar on Saturday, February 7.
Mensah is expected to play a vital role in Zaragoza's campaign as they battle for survival in the second tier of Spanish football.
