Ghanaian forward Bernard Tekpetey has added another trophy to his career after helping Ludogorets Razgrad secure the Bulgarian Super Cup with a 1â0 win over Levski Sofia.
Introduced from the bench in the second half, Tekpetey delivered the decisive moment in the 70th minute, heading in the only goal of the match after an assist from Son.
The Super Cup triumph confirms Ludogorets’ status as the dominant force in Bulgarian football and highlights Tekpetey’s importance as an impact player in big games.
Per-Mathias Högmo’s players, who won his first trophy at the helm of the Razgrad team, had other chances, but failed to score a second goal. Thus, Ludogorets won its 9th Bulgarian Super Cup, which is the 27th trophy in total in the club’s showcase.
Beyond the silverware, the performance offers a psychological boost ahead of the restart of the First Professional League, where Ludogorets will visit Lokomotiv Sofia next.
