Newly appointed Hearts of Oak Managing Director Julius Ben Emunah has urged the club’s players to serve the team with complete dedication, insisting that wholehearted commitment to the club brings its own rewards.
Emunah, unveiled this week as Hearts’ new Managing Director, replaces Dr. Delali Anku-Adiamah, whose contract expired last month.
Hearts of Oak are currently preparing for their high-stakes Matchday 22 clash against arch-rivals Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium next Sunday.
Speaking during a visit to the Kpobiman Training Centre on Thursday, Emunah told the squad that he comes with extensive experience and understands the ins and outs of football.
“I have been privileged because my whole professional career has been in football, so I understand what it takes to do football, and I understand what it takes to be a good footballer. But as we know, this club and its history, if you serve this club wholeheartedly, heaven will favour you as well.”
Before joining Hearts, Emunah spent eight years at the Ghana Football Association in various roles, including Club Licensing Manager and Safety and Security Officer for both the GFA and CAF.
He has also served in regional football administration as Deputy Administrative Manager for the National Sports Authority in the Central Region and General Secretary of the Western Regional Football Association.
Since 2020, he has contributed to CAF competitions, including inter-club tournaments, AFCON qualifiers, CHAN, and the African Games.
