Former Ghana youth star Emmanuel Toku produced an outstanding performance to help Buriram United secure victory over Khon Kaen in the Thai FA Cup quarterfinal showdown on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old attacker was the star of the show at the Chang Arena, netting a brace as Buriram United cruised to an emphatic 6-0 triumph in the quarterfinal showdown. Toku’s clinical finishing and lively movement in the final third proved too much for Khon Kaen to handle, as the home side asserted their authority from start to finish.
Toku’s goals capped off a ruthless team performance that underlined the club’s determination to lift the trophy this season. The comprehensive win officially seals Buriram United’s place in the last four of the competition.
Toku, who joined the Thai giants on a short-term deal during the winter transfer window, is steadily making his mark. The former OH Leuven forward signed a contract that will keep him at the club until June 2026. Since his arrival, he has featured in five matches across all competitions, registering two goals and one assist.
Fellow Ghanaian Kingsley Schindler also played his part in the dominant display, featuring for 65 minutes before being substituted. The recent Black Stars call-up contributed to Buriram’s attacking fluidity as they comfortably dismantled their opponents.
With momentum building and confidence soaring, Buriram United now turn their focus to the semifinals, buoyed by Toku’s red-hot form and a statement performance that has firmly announced their title ambitions
