Canadian-Ghanaian forward Kwasi Poku stepped off the bench to score a dramatic stoppage-time equaliser as RWDM Brussels drew 2â2 at home to Eupen in the Belgian Challenger Pro League.
RWDM had fallen behind twice late on, with Eupen leading 1â0 through Merveille Bokadi on 79 minutes and then 2â1 after Kevin Möhwald struck in the 87th minute.
Huguinho first dragged RWDM level in the 83rd minute, finishing from an Ilyes Ziani assist to make it 1â1 and spark belief in the Edmond Machtensstadion stands. But Eupen hit back quickly, forcing RWDM to chase the game again in added time. Deep into stoppage time, Poku, who had come on in the 77th minute, reacted brilliantly to an assist from goalkeeper Bill Lathouwers to make it 2â2 in the 90+5th minute, securing a valuable point for the hosts.
The goal was Poku’s first of the 2025/26 Belgian Challenger Pro League campaign, where he has so far made 8 league appearances, with 1 goal recorded.
RWDM Brussels now turn their attention to their next league fixture away to Olympic de Charleroi on Saturday, 7 March 2026, another key test in their promotion push.
