Ghanaian attacker Ibrahim Osman made the decisive contribution as Birmingham City earned a hard-fought 1-0 win over Queens Park Rangers at St Andrew’s.
The 21-year-old set the tone inside six minutes, drifting in from the left and sliding a clever pass into the box for Patrick Roberts, who coolly finished to give Birmingham an early lead.
Osman remained a constant outlet down the flank, stretching QPR’s back line before making way for Demarai Gray midway through the second half after another energetic display. Birmingham created the better chances overall, registering 21 shots and twice carving out big opportunities, while restricting QPR to efforts from distance as they protected their slender advantage.
The assist continues Osman’s encouraging 2025/26 Championship campaign, where he has now made 21 league appearances, scoring once and adding one assist for Birmingham.
The victory halts a difficult run of results ahead of their next game, a home clash against Sheffield United at St Andrew’s on Saturday, March 14, as they look to build momentum in the final stretch of the season.
