National Sports Authority Director General Yaw Ampofo Ankrah says the authority has not yet received its allocation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The quota will determine the number of staff and supporters the NSA can send to the tournament to support Ghana during the competition.
Ghana have been drawn in a group alongside Panama, Croatia and England for the tournament.
Speaking on the issue, Ampofo Ankrah dismissed speculation that the NSA already has slots for the trip.
“NSA does not have any World Cup slots as has been speculated. The authority will be given its quota by the Ministry of Sports and Recreation in due course,” he said.
He urged the public to remain patient while the process is completed.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be hosted by United States, Canada and Mexico, with Ghana expected to have strong support from travelling fans.
