Ghana international Caleb Yirenkyi was in action for his FC Nordsjaelland outfit on Sunday, impressing with a top performance as they picked a crucial away victory against FC Midtjylland in the Danish Superliga.
The 20-year-old has been a key man for his team since the 2025/26 football season started, playing in various roles.
In the Round 22 fixture of the Danish Superliga campaign, Caleb Yirenkyi was deployed in defense, partnering with Salquist in the heart of the FC Nordsjaelland defense.
Even in that role, Yirenkyi was unplayable as he starred with an impressive performance in the entire 90 minutes.
The youngster finished the game with 18 clearances, two interceptions, and one block after making 64 touches. He completed 26/32 passes, won 11/11 aerial duels, and also made 11 ball recoveries.
In a game where Levy Nene netted the only goal to give FC Nordsjaelland victory against FC Midtjylland, Yirenkyi emerged as the top-rated player with a score of 9.0.
The defender, who also plays as a midfielder, is in contention for a Ghana call-up for the upcoming international friendly matches against Austria and Germany this month.
