Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Fulham and Brentford have all made enquiries about Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku ahead of the summer transfer window, according to Binge Football.
Fulham and Brentford are currently leading the race for the Leicester City forward, although the player remains comfortable in the Midlands. Aston Villa’s push towards Champions League football could also influence his decision in the coming months.
Fatawu’s future is closely tied to Leicester’s situation, with the club’s struggles expected to impact his valuation. Sources indicate his price tag could drop to around £5 million, particularly if Leicester suffer relegation.
Despite the uncertainty, the 22-year-old is enjoying his most productive season yet. Bournemouth, Fulham and Aston Villa have all sent scouts to monitor his performances this campaign, while Brentford’s interest dates back to last year.
Fatawu had previously attracted attention from Liverpool before joining Sporting CP, where opportunities were limited, before his move to Leicester on loan.
He made an immediate impact at the King Power Stadium, playing a key role in Leicester’s promotion-winning campaign. The Ghana international scored seven goals in 43 appearances, including a standout hat-trick against Southampton, quickly establishing himself as a fan favourite.
Leicester secured his signature on a permanent deal in the summer of 2024, handing him a five-year contract following his impressive loan spell.
His progress was temporarily halted by an anterior cruciate ligament injury suffered on international duty, ruling him out for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.
However, Fatawu has returned strongly, contributing nine goals and seven assists in 37 appearances across all competitions this season.
While there is no release clause in his contract, Leicester are understood to be open to offers should the player push for a move.
He has also been named in Ghana’s 26-man squad for upcoming friendlies against Austria and Germany later this month, as preparations continue towards the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
