Dutch-Ghanaian defender Leeroy Owusu thought he had earned OB a vital away win after scoring in a 1â1 draw against Vejle Boldklub in the Superligaen Relegation Group.
The right-back opened the scoring in the 25th minute, timing his run perfectly to arrive in the box and sweep home Noah Ganaus’ low cross, capping a flowing OB move down the right.
OB controlled long spells of the game, enjoying more possession and creating the better chances, but failed to find a second goal to kill the contest. That wastefulness proved costly deep into stoppage time when Anders K. Jacobsen snatched a 96th-minute equaliser for Vejle, turning in Lasse Nielsen’s knockdown to break OB hearts with almost the last kick.
Owusu’s strike adds to a strong 2025/26 Superligaen campaign, where he has now made 15 league appearances, contributing 1 goal and 1 assist while offering drive from right-back. OB will look to quickly shake off the late disappointment as they prepare for their next Superligaen Relegation Group outing against Fredericia on April 6th.
