Ghana defender Mohammed Salisu will work with Felipe Luis at AS Monaco next season.
The club has announced the Brazilian as their new manager ahead of the 2026/27 season. The Brazilian signed a contract that will see him lead the French side till the summer of 2028.
One of the fast-rising coaches in the world, the former Chelsea and Atletico Madrid player has built an incredible managerial career with hometown club Flamengo.
"AS Monaco are delighted to announce the appointment of Filipe LuÃs as Head Coach, marking the beginning of a new era. The 40-year-old Brazilian manager has signed with the Principality club until June 2028," posted the club on their official website.
He replaces Sébastien Pocognoli who took charge of the Red and White in October 2025.
Meanwhile, Ghana's Salisu is on his way to full recovery after missing the 2026 FIFA World Cup due to injury.
The 26-year-old started personal training in late May but was not fully fit for the World Cup in North America.
He is expected to link up with the gaffer when pre-season begins later this month.
