Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko says the club are targeting qualification from the group stage of the CAF Champions League after securing the Ghana Premier League title.
The Yellow and Mauve will represent Ghana in Africa's elite club competition after being crowned champions of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
Medeama have been drawn against DR Congo giants TP Mazembe in the first round of the preliminary stage, setting up a difficult test for the Ghanaian champions.
Tanko says Medeama will take the competition one match at a time but have set their sights on making a deep run.
"We'll take it game by game, but our target this time is to go beyond the group stage of the CAF Champions League," Tanko told Asempa FM.
Medeama will host Mazembe in the first leg at the TNA Park on 5 September, with the return leg scheduled for 13 September in DR Congo.
Both matches are scheduled to kick off at 15:00 GMT.
Medeama will be hoping to make a strong start at home before travelling to Lubumbashi for the decisive second leg against the Congolese giants.
Tanko's side will need to overcome Mazembe to keep their ambitions of reaching the group stage alive and make an impact on their return to Africa's premier club competition.
