Nebojsa Kapor: Hearts of Oak will adapt to Bibiani GoldStars while keeping our structure

Hearts of Oak coach Nebojsa Kapor says his side will maintain their tactical structure while making the necessary adjustments to deal with Bibiani GoldStars in Sunday’s Ghana Premier League clash.

The Phobians travel to Dun’s Park for their first away fixture of the season, buoyed by an impressive 4-0 victory over Berekum Chelsea in their opening game.

However, Kapor expects a different challenge from GoldStars, who will be determined to recover from their 1-0 defeat to Bechem United and claim their first points of the campaign at home.

The Serbian coach believes each opponent presents different tactical demands, requiring his technical team to identify their strengths and weaknesses before deciding how to approach the game.

“Every game is different. It depends on some things that we see in the opposition, their strengths and weaknesses, of course,” Kapor said.

“But a lot of things are always the same because, as a team that is trying to maintain high standards in the league, we are also always going to implement our structure,” he added.

Hearts will be hoping their tactical discipline can help them overcome a difficult recent record at Dun’s Park.

The Phobians have managed only one victory in their last five visits to Bibiani, alongside three draws and one defeat, including a 2-1 loss last season.

Kapor will therefore be looking for the right balance between adapting to GoldStars and maintaining the identity that produced their emphatic opening-day victory.
