Representatives of China Railway Construction (CRC), a leading global infrastructure development firm, have paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Iddie Adams, to explore potential collaboration in sports infrastructure development.
During the meeting, the CRC delegation outlined the company’s experience in developing major sports facilities, including modern stadiums, training centres and recreational parks.
The representatives said Ghana’s growing interest in sports infrastructure development could create opportunities for collaboration aimed at improving facilities, promoting tourism and supporting the health and well-being of citizens.
“Our company is dedicated to supporting Ghana’s vision of becoming a hub for sports excellence,” the CRC representatives said, while highlighting the company’s focus on quality, sustainability and community development.
They also expressed interest in potential future projects, including the construction of sports facilities and stadiums to support Ghana’s sporting ambitions.
Minister Kofi Adams welcomed the delegation and acknowledged China’s contribution to infrastructure development across Africa.
He stressed the importance of international partnerships in developing world-class sports facilities that can promote national unity, improve public health and strengthen national pride.
Adams thanked CRC for its interest in Ghana and assured the delegation of the government’s willingness to facilitate potential collaborations and projects in the sports sector.
