Joshua Tenkorang scores as Ravenna beat Ostiamare

Italian-Ghanaian midfielder Joshua Tenkorang scored the decisive goal as Ravenna defeated Ostiamare 1-0 in Serie C Group B.

The victory strengthened Ravenna’s position at the top of the table after a tightly contested away match.

Tenkorang broke the deadlock in the 35th minute, giving Ravenna a crucial lead before halftime. Ostiamare tried to respond after the break, but Ravenna’s defence remained organised and protected the advantage until the final whistle.

The midfielder started the match and delivered another important contribution during an impressive opening to the campaign. He has now played five league games this season and scored twice, underlining his growing influence in Ravenna’s midfield and attacking play.

Tenkorang’s performance also earned him the supporters’ Player of the Match award. He collected 60 percent of the fan vote, finishing ahead of teammate Nicolas Viola, who received 27 percent.

The result moved Ravenna to 11 points from five matches, while Ostiamare remained on three points. Ravenna’s unbeaten start has given the club strong momentum as they continue their promotion push.

Ravenna will return to Serie C action on September 20, when they face Atalanta U23. Tenkorang will hope to maintain his scoring form and help his side extend its excellent beginning to the season.
