Osman Rafia confident Black Maidens are ready for Togo test

Osman Rafia says the Black Maidens have prepared well and are in the right mindset for their third WAFU B Girls Tournament match against Togo on Monday, September 21, 2026.

The deputy captain said the squad’s work on the training ground had strengthened her belief that the team could perform well in the crucial encounter.

“I feel happy and I feel confident for my teammates. Because going to the training ground and seeing how they were prepared, I was really confident in them,” Rafia said.

Rafia’s confidence comes from observing the players’ approach during preparations, with the squad focused on the challenge ahead.

The deputy captain also described the tournament as an important learning experience for the entire team. She said the competition had helped the players understand the importance of maintaining concentration and discipline throughout their matches.

According to Rafia, the squad had also learned to follow the coach’s instructions, including when placed under pressure.

The Black Maidens will now look to build on their progress when they face Togo on Monday, with the team aiming to maintain its impressive run in the tournament.
