The Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, and the Deputy Minister for Communications and Digital Technology, Mohammed Adams Sukparu, are in stable condition following a road traffic accident on Thursday.
According to a statement issued by the Office of the Minister for Education, the accident occurred on the Bolgatanga–Tumu Road while the two ministers and their teams were travelling to the Upper West Region for official engagements.
They were reportedly en route to commemorate the 40th anniversary celebrations of Tumu College of Education and Jahan College of Education when the incident happened.
The statement assured the public that all members of the convoy are in stable condition and are receiving the necessary medical attention.
The Office of the Minister expressed appreciation to emergency responders, health professionals and members of the public for their swift assistance and concern.
It added that further updates would be communicated as necessary.
