The newly built Bonwire Market has been officially opened under the auspices of Nana Bobie Ansah II, Chief of Bonwire in the Ashanti Region.
The commissioning ceremony marked a significant milestone for market women, who have endured harsh weather conditions for over 40 years.

Nana Bobie Ansah II expressed his relief and gratitude to the market committee, media, and the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ejisu for their contributions to the project.
He emphasized that the market would boost the local economy, create jobs and improve the lives of families and households.
The Chief urged the women to manage the market well and contribute to generating income for additional facilities. He also appealed to the government for a police station, court, Teachers and Nursing Training school to enhance Bonwire’s development.
Madam Jerryne Asante, MCE for Ejisu, commended Nana Bobie Ansah II for his development-oriented mindset and advised the women to take good care of the market.
