A trip to Akosombo and parts of the Volta Region will definitely take you through Atimpoku, the district capital of Asuogyaman in the Eastern Region.
Over the years, the median town has become a place where travelers make a quick stop to take a rest or grab some snacks.
However, there’s a challenge in the community that somewhat poses a health risk not just to residents, but also to travelers who consume meals from the area.
This is because the main water source used by the community for food preparation and other chores are polluted with human excreta.
