Voters at the Nandom Local Council Polling Station were left waiting this morning as voting failed to commence on schedule.
Despite a queue of eager voters, Electoral Commission (EC) officials were still sorting out papers at 7:30 am, causing a delay in the start of voting.
The delay has sparked frustration among voters, who had arrived early to cast their ballots.
The EC officials’ slow preparation has raised concerns about the commission’s ability to manage the voting process efficiently.
The Nandom Local Council Polling Station has an expected Voter population of 627, and it is one of the many polling stations across the Nandom Constituency where voters are casting their ballots today.
The Local Council is not the only place affected polling stations such as the Local Court, GNTC Buralale, and Information Center stations all started 30 minutes late.
The delay in starting according to some voters highlights the need for the EC to ensure that all polling stations are adequately prepared to handle the voting process.
As the delay continues, voters at the Nandom Local Council Polling Station remain hopeful that the issue will be resolved soon, allowing them to exercise their right to vote.
