Muntaka inspects ongoing projects in Asawase Constituency 

The Member of Parliament for Asawase, Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak, has inspected a number of ongoing development projects in the Asokore Mampong Municipality over the weekend and urged contractors to complete the projects on schedule.

The inspection is to enable him to monitor the progress and quality of projects being undertaken in the municipality and ensure that they deliver.The projects spanned health, education, roads, markets and recreational infrastructure.

Among the projects inspected were the 24-Hour Market at Aboabo, Astraturf Parks at Adukrom, Sawaba and Boubai as well as a number of road, education and healthcare projects.

At Boubai, the team inspected the construction of a new block at the Boubai Clinic, which is expected to expand healthcare services and improve residents’ access to essential medical care.

The inspection also covered the ongoing construction of a CHPS Compound at Sabon Zongo, intended to bring basic healthcare services closer to residents in the area.

In the education sector, the team inspected a newly constructed Kindergarten block at Asokore Mampong and a six-unit first-floor classroom block.

Mr. Muntaka said the education facilities were important investments for children in the future in the municipality, noting that improved infrastructure would provide a more conducive environment for teaching and learning.

The inspection also took the MP who is the Minister of Interior to major road projects, including the seven-kilometre in-town roads at Parkoso, the 3.5-kilometre in-town roads at Adukrom and the seven-kilometre Sepe Dote in-town roads.

Minister Muntaka expressed satisfaction with the progress and quality of work at the various sites and said contractors had given assurances that the projects would be completed on schedule. He, however, said he would continue to engage the contractors and monitor the projects closely until they are completed.

The MP said the continued monitoring of projects was necessary to ensure that public investments translated into tangible improvements in the lives of residents across the municipality.

He assured of his commitment to provide the needed infrastructure, improve living conditions, create opportunities for the youth and ensure that the people of Asokore Mampong Municipality receive their fair share of development.

The Minister of Interior was accompanied by the Municipal Chief Executive for Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly, Ben Abdallah Alhassan.
