GCB Bank PLC has successfully held the first of five major draws under its nationwide ‘Pa To Pa’ savings promotion, a campaign designed to reward loyal customers with various goodies and an all-expenses-paid trip to the 2026 global football festival in the Americas.
The first draw marks the beginning of an exciting journey that will culminate in five ultimate winners receiving an all-expenses-paid trip to the 2026 Global Football Festival in Canada and the United States.

Executive Head of Retail Banking – GCB Bank PLC, Sina Kamagate, highlighted that the promotion is the bank’s way of appreciating its loyal customers who have stood with the brand over the past 72 years of operation.
“We have operated for 72 years and will be celebrating our 73rd anniversary this year. We have been sustained by customers who bring in deposits because they understand that deposits are the lifeblood of banking. And we all know that in Ghana, one thing that unites us so much is football. So, this is our way of saying thank you to our customers, and giving them the chance to enjoy the upcoming global football festival,” he said.
Liability Products Manager at GCB Bank, Richard Wobil, detailed the campaign’s structure during the event, noting that May will serve as the closing period for the draw, enabling strategic preparations for the winners to travel.
The promotion is open to both existing and potential customers, with a special incentive for dormant account holders who earn an automatic point simply by reactivating their accounts.
Under the campaign’s mechanics, every deposit of GH?300 earns a participant one point, and maintaining that balance allows points to accumulate monthly through the fifth month.
Since multiple deposits translate into more points, customers are encouraged to save frequently to increase their winning potential.
The reward structure is designed to be highly competitive, with ten winners selected each month and the individual with the highest point tally crowned as the ultimate winner for that period.
For the first and second months, the top three winners will receive 75-inch smart televisions, while other winners are rewarded with various high-end electronic products.
The prize pool evolves as the campaign progresses, featuring dynamic smart fridges in the third month and chest freezers thereafter. In the final month, the top four participants with the highest points will secure their trip to the 2026 World Cup, while a fifth person will be selected via a ‘wheel of fortune’ lucky winner draw, ensuring a fair chance for all participants.
The draw was conducted under the supervision of the National Lottery Authority (NLA) and GCB’s internal audit team to ensure the highest standards of transparency and legality.
Nancy Brew, a representative from the NLA, affirmed that the authority mandates and monitors all consumer promotions by law. Therefore, it has verified that the winners and rewards of the ‘Pa To Pa’ promo are a true reflection of performance.
This was further validated by Wilhelmina Asiamah, Internal Audit Supervisor, who confirmed that the Internal Audit Department reviewed the entire depositor dataset to ensure that those selected were indeed the deserving winners based on the established criteria.
Head of Digital and Youth Banking at GCB Bank, Emilia Sackey, highlighting the bank’s broader commitment to customer convenience, emphasised the evolution of the GCB customer experience.
“Customers can now open accounts digitally and request Visa or Mastercards without visiting a physical branch. We also offer competitive financial offerings, including instant salary advances of up to 80 percent, a reduced interest rate on loans to 19 percent, and the ‘Link-To-Home’ account specifically designed for Ghanaians living abroad to save securely in their home country,” she said.
She noted that digital platforms have eliminated the need for long queues, offering specialised products such as kids’ and student accounts.
