Spanish giants FC Barcelona are reportedly monitoring highly rated Belgian-born Ghanaian teenage prospect Jesse Eugen Bisiwu, according to transfer journalist Sacha Tavolieri.
The 17-year-old, who is currently on the books of Belgian champions Club Brugge, has emerged as one of the most exciting young talents in Belgium’s youth system.
Tavolieri reports that Barcelona have already held talks with Bisiwu and his representatives as the Catalan club explores the possibility of completing a move in the summer transfer window.
The Blaugrana have built a reputation in recent years for investing in youth, and Bisiwu fits the profile of a technically gifted player capable of being developed within their famed La Masia structure.
However, any potential deal could face resistance from Club Brugge. The Belgian club is keen to retain the services of the teenager, who is viewed internally as a key prospect for the future.
Brugge are known for nurturing young players before integrating them into the first team or selling them on at significant profit.
Bisiwu is already making waves at international level. A Belgian youth international, he has been named in the Belgium Under-17 squad for the 2025 UEFA European Under-17 Championship, underlining his growing reputation on the European stage.
The youngster is of Ghanaian descent, which will be of interest to Ghana football fans as he continues to progress at club and international levels.
While he currently represents Belgium at youth level, his development will be closely followed in Ghana amid hopes he could one day be eligible for the Black Stars.
With Barcelona circling and Club Brugge determined to keep hold of their prized asset, Bisiwu’s future promises to be one to watch closely in the coming months.
