Dutch-Ghanaian winger Emanuel Poku came off the bench to seal a 2â0 home win for Almere City FC against De Graafschap with a stoppage-time strike at the Yanmar Stadion.
After a tight first half, Almere finally broke the deadlock just after the hour when Junior Kadile finished a flowing move to put the hosts in front.
De Graafschap pushed for an equaliser and committed numbers forward, leaving space in behind for Almere to exploit on the counter. In added time, Poku timed his run perfectly to latch onto a through ball, stayed composed under pressure and slotted calmly into the bottom corner to wrap up the points. His impact off the bench underlined the attacking depth in Alex Pastoor’s squad and was greeted by loud celebrations from the home fans.
The goal takes Poku to 22 Eerste Divisie appearances in the 2025/26 season, with six goals and three assists so far as he continues his development in the Dutch second tier.
Almere City now turn their attention to their next league fixture away to Jong AZ Alkmaar on January 26, 2026.
