CAF 2nd Vice President Kurt Okraku has reaffirmed Patrice Motsepe’s commitment to increased investment in CAF competitions and football infrastructure across the continent.
In an interview with Metro TV, Okraku said the CAF President remains focused on strengthening African football through sustained financial support and long-term development programmes aimed at raising standards across member associations.
According to him, Dr Motsepe is determined to make CAF competitions more competitive, attractive and financially sustainable while improving facilities that support football development at all levels. He explained that infrastructure development is a key priority, with plans to upgrade stadiums, training facilities and administrative structures across Africa.
Okraku noted that increased investment will enhance the quality of competitions and create better opportunities for players, clubs and football administrators on the continent. He added that strong infrastructure and well-funded competitions are essential to improving standards and positioning African football more competitively on the global stage.
He stressed that CAF leadership remains committed to working with member associations and key stakeholders to drive sustainable growth and long-term success for football across Africa.
