Young Apostles forward Andy Kumi remains optimistic about his side’s chances of beating the drop as the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season enters its final stretch.
The Wenchi-based club have endured a difficult campaign and currently sit in the relegation zone with 11 matches left to play. Their struggles continued over the weekend when they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Asante Kotoko, a result that further complicated their fight for survival.
Despite the setback, Kumi, a former Kotoko striker insists his outfit can escape relegation at the end of the campaign.
“We believe we can survive relegation. It’s about hard work and determination. I urge our fans to keep supporting us. As players, we promise to give our very best to save our season,” he said.
With the pressure mounting, Young Apostles now turn their attention to a crucial Matchday 24 fixture against Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park. The clash presents an opportunity for the struggling side to secure valuable points as they attempt to climb out of the relegation zone.
As the season heads into a decisive phase, Young Apostles will be banking on renewed determination and improved performances to keep their top-flight status intact.
