Ghana's Black Queens rounded off their preparations for the 2026 TotalEnergies CAF Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Malawi in a friendly match in Casablanca, Morocco.
The Black Queens dominated proceedings from the opening whistle, controlling possession and creating a host of chances as they delivered one of their most convincing performances ahead of the continental tournament.
Forward Doris Boaduwaa was the star of the afternoon, netting a superb hat-trick to continue her fine form and strengthen her case as one of Ghana's key attacking threats for the competition.
Sharon Sampson added the fourth goal with a composed finish as Ghana's attack overwhelmed the Malawian defence throughout the contest.
Beyond the goals, the Black Queens impressed with their movement, pressing and defensive organisation, restricting Malawi to few clear-cut opportunities while maintaining a clean sheet.
The result provides a significant confidence boost for head coach Kim Lars Björkegren and his technical team as they head into the tournament.
Ghana will now shift their full focus to the 2026 WAFCON, where the Black Queens will be aiming to improve on their third-place finish at the previous edition and challenge for their first continental title.
