The complete fixtures for the 2026 MTN Elite Under-19 Championship have been released, with the tournament set to kick off on Tuesday, August 25, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
The 11-day competition, sponsored by MTN Ghana, will bring together some of the country's most promising young players from the Second Division and regional football setup.
Participating teams will arrive at the GFA Technical Centre on Monday, August 24, ahead of the opening day's action.
Defending champions Eastern Region will begin their title defence against Upper West Region in Group A at 10:30 GMT.
The first Group A fixture will see Volta Region face Ashanti Region at 8:00 GMT, with both sides looking to make a strong start to their campaign.
In Group B, last year's runners-up Brong Ahafo Region will open their campaign against Central Region at 13:00 GMT.
The day's final fixture will see Upper East Region take on Northern Region in another Group B encounter.
The championship is expected to provide an important platform for emerging players to test themselves against some of the country's best young talents while gaining valuable competitive experience.
Beyond the battle for the title, the tournament will give players an opportunity to catch the attention of national youth team selectors as they look to progress to higher levels of the game.
The MTN Elite U-19 Championship forms part of the Ghana Football Association's youth development strategy, with the Association seeking to identify and nurture the next generation of Ghanaian football talent.
The competition also supports the GFA's "Power to the Youth" strategy by creating a pathway for young players to progress from grassroots and regional football into the national teams and the professional game.
