As New Patriotic Party delegates prepare to make one of the most consequential decisions in the party’s history, Naa Toshie, a leading voice in Kennedy Ohene Agyapong’s presidential campaign, says the moment demands clear-eyed judgment, not sentiment.
Engaging delegates across the Bono Region, she argued that the party cannot afford to gamble with untested promises at a time when youth unemployment is eroding public confidence and threatening the NPP’s electoral future.
According to her, jobs, not slogans, will determine victory in 2024 and on that score, Ken Agyapong stands unmatched.

“Delegates must ask themselves one simple question -Who has actually created jobs before asking for our votes?”She contended that while many aspirants speak fluently about employment, Ken Agyapong brings something fundamentally different to the table, a proven record as a private-sector employer who has built businesses, expanded enterprises and sustained livelihoods long before seeking the presidency.
“This is not theory. This is experience. Ken understands job creation because he has lived it.”Naa Toshie warned that youth unemployment was no longer just a social issue, but a political liability that could cost the NPP power if not confronted with credible leadership. Young Ghanaians, she said, are tired of plans and policy documents; they want opportunity, dignity and work.
She explained that Ken Agyapong’s campaign is anchored on a jobs-first governing philosophy, prioritising enterprise growth, industrial expansion, and deliberate support for Ghanaian businesses as the engine of mass employment.
This approach, she argued, aligns naturally with the NPP’s founding tradition of private-sector-led growth.
“Delegates are the custodians of this party’s future. The choice you make must strengthen the NPP’s credibility with the youth and the wider electorate,” she said and urged delegates to look beyond popularity and internal calculations and instead consider electability and delivery.
“The youth do not vote for sympathy. They vote for opportunity -Ken Agyapong offers both credibility and courage.”
Delegates who engaged the campaign described unemployment as the defining issue that must shape the party’s choice of flagbearer, noting that a candidate with deep private-sector experience would be better positioned to campaign convincingly on jobs and economic recovery.
As the internal contest intensifies, Naa Toshie’s message to delegates is direct and uncompromising: the NPP cannot afford another learning curve.
With a campaign anchored on Jobs, jobs and more jobs, the Ken Agyapong team is urging delegates to choose a candidate whose record speaks louder than promises, and whose leadership offers the party its strongest chance to win, govern and deliver.
