Two chiefs of Coaltar provide land for Assembly offices
Coaltar (E/R), Oct. 20, GNA – The Mankrado and Twafohene of Coaltar, Nana Atta Yaw Kwaakwah II, and Nana Kwasi Kwaakwah I, respectively, have jointly offered a 2.3-acre piece of land to the Ayensuano District Assembly to construct office buildings at Coaltar.
Briefing the Ghana News Agency after the sod-cutting ceremony, the two chiefs said they had given out the land as their contribution towards the development of the new district.
Nana Atta Yaw Kwaakwah, the Mankrado, who is also a tutor at the Nsawam Senior High School, said they would work hand-in-hand with the incoming District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr Mark Ofori Darko to bring about more developmental projects in the area.
He said some of the projects that the people are expecting from the Assembly include the provision of potable water, and healthcare facilities.
Mr Darko, the incoming District Chief Executive, who chaired the function, commended the two chiefs.
The Abusuapanyin Otu Owusu and Obaahemaa Asiedua II, Ohemaa of Coaltar, performed the sod-cutting.
