Ghanaian winger Kelvin Frimpong has expressed gratitude after completing his move to Viking FK following a successful trial with the Norwegian club.
The 18-year-old attacker has signed a contract running until 2030 after impressing the club’s technical staff during his stay in Stavanger.
Frimpong said the opportunity to begin his professional career in Europe represents an important moment in his development.
“This is a great opportunity for me. I am very grateful for the chance Viking is giving me, and I look forward to working hard for the club and the supporters,” he said.
The winger joins Viking after progressing through African Vikins Academy in Ghana and will now continue his development in Norway’s top division.
Frimpong’s signing forms part of Viking’s strategy to invest in young players with potential as the club continues to build for the future.
