Black Queens forward Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah registered her name on the scoresheet as Nottingham Forest Women return to winning ways in the Barclays Women Super League 2.
Boye-Hlorkah sealed victory for Forest in their 2-0 win over in-form Ipswich Town to end a run of four matches without success.
Havin returned home for the first time in nearly a month, the hosts established their desire for victory early in the match with Nigerian forward Joy Omewa getting to the end of most of their chances.
After a series of early misses, Omewa broke the deadlock after latching onto Cerys Brown’s cross just before the half-hour mark.
Moment later, Boye-Hlorkah almost made it 2-0 before the break but her left foot effort was denied by Ipswich goalie, Natalia Negri.
However, she could not stop the Ghanaian after the break following a dazzling run which saw Boye-Hlorkah slot home in the 47th minute.
The victory keeps Nottingham Forest within 8 points of the WSL2 play-offs spot.
