Ghanaian left-back Issaka Seidu is on the verge of joining Swedish giants IFK Goteborg on loan after impressing during his spell at Superettan side Ljungskile SK.
According to reports in Sweden, the 20-year-old has already informed Ljungskile that he has played his final match for the club, with a move to the seven-time Swedish champions expected to be completed soon.
Seidu has been one of Ljungskile's standout performers this season, making 12 league appearances while contributing one goal and one assist from left-back.
His consistent displays have attracted the attention of several clubs, with Goteborg now poised to secure his services.
The talented defender remains under contract with Danish Superliga outfit Nordsjaelland, whom he joined in 2024.
He moved to Ljungskile on loan to gain regular first-team experience, and the agreement reportedly includes a clause that allows the loan to be terminated early.
Seidu has long been regarded as one of Ghana's promising young defenders. Even before his move to Ljungskile, he had been monitored by clubs in Sweden's top flight during his time with Nordsjaelland.
A switch to Goteborg would represent another significant step in his development, offering him the opportunity to compete at a higher level in the Allsvenskan while continuing his progress in European football.
If the deal is completed, Seidu will become the latest Ghanaian talent to feature in Swedish football, a league that has provided a strong platform for several Ghanaian players to develop before moving on to bigger opportunities across Europe.
