Medeama Sporting Club defender Victor Oduro has completed a move to newly promoted Ghana Premier League side Debibi United ahead of the new campaign.
The versatile right-back joins Debibi United on a season-long loan and is expected to play a huge role for the club in their debut season.
Oduro, who joined the Mauve and Yellow outfit during the second transfer window in January 2026 on a three-year contract, will spend the upcoming season with Debibi United in a move aimed at providing him with consistent first-team football.
The defender arrived at Medeama after his departure from Nations FC and was regarded as a player capable of adding depth, competition and tactical flexibility to the club’s defensive setup.
Despite his qualities and potential, increased competition for places in Medeama’s squad has prompted the decision to allow the defender to continue his growth elsewhere.
Debibi United, who are preparing for their maiden campaign in the Ghana Premier League following promotion, have moved swiftly in the transfer market to strengthen their squad.
The acquisition of Oduro is expected to bolster their defensive options, with the experienced full-back bringing valuable top-flight experience and versatility to the team.
For Medeama, the loan arrangement offers the opportunity for the defender to gain regular competitive minutes while remaining part of the club’s long-term plans. The Tarkwa-based side will continue to monitor his progress throughout the season, with hopes that he will return as a more complete and experienced player.
The move represents a fresh challenge for Oduro, who will now be looking to make an immediate impact at Debibi United and help the newly promoted side achieve its objectives in the Ghana Premier League.
