Aduana FC came from behind to beat Young Apostles 2-1 on Wednesday as the second edition of the Sompa Invitational Cup got underway at the Sunyani Coronation Park.
The two sides went into the break level after neither could find the breakthrough in the opening 45 minutes.
Young Apostles then took the lead just a minute after the restart through a penalty, putting Aduana FC under pressure.
The advantage, however, did not last long as Aduana responded to restore parity just five minutes later.
Stephen Amankona levelled from the penalty spot in the 50th minute before Prince Otubua completed the comeback with an injury-time goal to give Aduana all three points.
The result gives Aduana FC an important boost at the beginning of the competition and will provide confidence ahead of their second fixture.
The Sompa Invitational Cup, now in its second edition, runs until August 16 at the Sunyani Coronation Park.
Alongside Aduana FC and Young Apostles, Bechem United, Karela United, Berekum Chelsea and Bec-Tero Sasana are also taking part in the tournament.
