Italian-Ghanaian midfielder Wisdom Acquah has joined Modena from Torino on loan, completing a move from Serie A to Serie B.
The 19-year-old defensive midfielder began his new spell on 18 August 2026 and has a contract with Modena running until 30 June 2027. Acquah was born in Calcinate, Italy, and is eligible to represent both Italy and Ghana.
Acquah leaves Torino after winning the Italian Under-18 championship with the club during the 2024-25 season. He was part of the Torino Under-18 side that claimed the youth title, adding that achievement to his early development in Italian football.
Standing 1.84m tall, Acquah is a left-footed midfielder whose primary role is in defensive midfield. His move gives Modena a player with experience in Torino’s youth system as the club adds him to its squad for the new campaign.
The transfer brings Acquah into Modena’s set-up after his time with Torino, with the clubs operating in different divisions. Torino compete in Serie A, while Modena play in Serie B, creating a change of environment for the teenager as he continues his senior career.
Acquah’s current market value is €400,000, although the transfer has been completed as a loan rather than a permanent move. No purchase fee has been attached to the deal.
His arrival comes at the age of 19, with his youth honours including one Italian Under-18 championship. The midfielder’s Italian and Ghanaian background adds an international dimension to his profile, while his left-footed ability and defensive-midfield position define the role he is expected to fill at Modena.
Acquah therefore leaves Torino’s Serie A squad for Modena on loan and remains contracted to the club through 30 June 2027.
